Arriving late Friday night at Averon Guest House in Edinburgh, Scotland. The owner, Alan, a warm friendly Scot, was not bothered by our late arrival and gladly showed us to our guest room.

As we headed back, we took a route that went a tad further north, and the landscape quickly changed to that of a thick, coniferous type. We're just past Inverlair, the last town for 26 miles on route A86.
